We are a small design led practice based at beautiful Wainui Beach, Gisborne. The dynamic coastal landscape inspired our name and inspires our architecture ... a modernist response to our South Pacific lifestyle. Sustainability is a prime consideration for our buildings. Natural ventilation and shade for the hot summer months and in winter, deep sun penetration, thermal mass and solid insulation combine to create a stable and comfortable living environment that sits elegantly and naturally within the environment.

We believe in a team approach to practice which encourages and values the input from the Client into the design process.

We are open to challenge and criticism in order to thoroughly test our design decisions to ensure a high quality solution to the Clients’ brief.  

Architecture for us is a constant learning process where challenge is relished. All staff are constantly involved with continuing professional development and up-skilling with the belief that we must embrace new technologies, philosophies and systems to grow as both people and a practice.

As a young practice we continue to spend a lot of time and effort on our Quality Management systems with the firm conviction that in order to grow to larger projects we must first have a strong base founded on robust quality procedures and systems.
